Japan, China discuss friendlier ties

Japan’s prime minister, Yukio Hatoyama, has urged the Chinese premier, Wen Jiabao, to support international efforts to take action against North Korea over the Cheonan affair.

With the situation in Korea bound to occupy much of the leaders’ time, trade will also be high on the agenda.

And while relations between Japan and China can be strained at times, Premier Wen has been out and about demonstrating his fun side.
